Tyra Gibbs: Legislative Associate at River Crossing Strategy Group

Tyra is a Jersey Shore native and a graduate of Kean University, where she earned her Master’s of Public Administration.

She began her career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the John S. Watson Institute for Urban Policy and Research. After graduation, she served as a legislative staffer in the New Jersey General Assembly, where she gained valuable experience in the legislative process and worked closely with elected officials and community leaders to advance key policy priorities.

Since joining the firm, Tyra has worked with a wide range of clients across sectors, helping them navigate the legislative process, track regulatory and legislative developments and coordinate fundraisers.

Outside of work, Tyra is an adventurous spirit who enjoys solo travel, audiobooks, and spending time with family. She is deeply committed to civic engagement and the future of leadership in the state as she proudly serves on the Executive Board of the New Jersey Young Democrats.
