A new-look New Jersey Legislature was sworn in Tuesday, with a new state Senate president taking over and several new leaders and lawmakers arriving, many of whom are making history by bringing greater diversity to Trenton.

All 120 members of the 220th Legislature, the body that crafts the Garden State’s laws and passes its budget, took the oath of office for a new two-year legislative session.
