Amazon opens 3 delivery stations in N.J.

Online retail giant Amazon has opened delivery stations in Bergen, Mercer and Middlesex counties, according to a press release.

The stations are located at 600 Washington Ave. in Carlstadt, 10 Princess Rd. in Lawrence Township and 8 B Ct. South in Edison.

Amazon uses delivery stations as part of the process to get packages to customers.

Packages from Amazon fulfillment centers are transported to delivery stations, where they’re sorted. The packages are then delivered from there to customers.

The delivery stations “will create hundreds of full and part-time associate jobs, all paying at least $15 per hour,” according to the release. Open positions can be found on Amazon’s job portal.

Amazon announced last year it signed leases to open 14 delivery stations in New Jersey. There are over 150 nationwide.
