River Crossing Strategy Group welcomes Tyra Gibbs

Former Legislative Director and Graduate Research Assistant to serve as Legislative Associate

River Crossing Strategy Group proudly announces that Tyra Gibbs has joined the firm as a Legislative Associate. She will work with clients in the Education, Health, and Renewable Energy industries, assisting with legislative and regulatory initiatives in New Jersey.

"Tyra is a real talent and she is going to be impactful to the firm and our clients as we continue to grow and maintain our same sense of customer-focused, results-oriented service culture,” said RCSG managing partner Eric Shuffler.

Prior to joining the firm, Tyra began her career with internships with the NJ Reentry Corporation, NJ Courts, and Assemblywoman Linda Carter (D-22).

Tyra worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kean University's John S. Watson Institute for Urban Policy and Research and later as Legislative Director to Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter (D-35).

Tyra's extensive background encompasses policy research, analysis, legislative advocacy, and stakeholder engagement; enabling her to develop a comprehensive portfolio addressing policy issues in education, sustainability, and economic and social justice. 

Tyra was born and raised in Ocean County, where her interest and passion for advocacy and public policy began before relocating to Union County where she currently resides.

In 2022 and 2023, she earned a Bachelor's and Master's of Public Administration degrees from Kean University, College of Business and Public Management.
